بقلم ريم المصري أقضي أكثر من ثماني ساعات يومياً بين متصفحات الانترنت ومحركات البحث ما بين العمل والاستخدام الشخصي. قد يؤهلني هذا أن أصنف كمستخدمة انترنت نشطة، لهذا السبب فوجئت عندما علمت أن هنالك اثني عشر ألف نطاق (عنوان موقع) مسجل بالأحرف العربية، لم أضطر يوماً لاستخدام أي منها، ولم أكتشف وجود هذه النطاقات إلا.

علاء عبدالفتّاح ناشط ومدوّن مصري عضو فعّال في مجتمع المدوّنين العرب منذ بداياته. اعتقل في تشرين ثاني/نوفمبر ٢٠١٣ بتهمة التحريض على التظاهر ضد الدستور الجديد أمام مجلس الشورى، وحكم عليه بالسجن لمدّة سنة مع وقف التنفيذ، وهو محتجز حالياً في سجن طرّة بالقاهرة. تم تصوير هذا الفيديو خلال ملتقى المدوّنين العرب الذي عقد في عمّان من.
