بعد عام ونصف على حجب موقع حبر أول مرة، يعود الموقع متاحًا للقرّاء داخل الأردن، بعد ترخيصه من هيئة الإعلام الأردنية.

A year and half after the Jordanian government first blocked it, 7iber is now licensed and unblocked.

Lina Ejeilat Yesterday the Jordanian Media Commission blocked access to 7iber.org, the alternate domain we began using last year after the Jordanian government first blocked 7iber.com along with roughly 200 other websites based on the amended Press and Publication Law. Despite the ban, or perhaps in part because of it, 7iber went through some exciting changes.

بعد مرور عام على قرار دائرة المطبوعات والنشر حجب موقع حبر 7iber.com ضمن مجموعة من المواقع الإلكترونية التي تم حجبها تطبيقاً لقانون المطبوعات والنشر المعدّل، طلبت هيئة الإعلام يوم أمس من شركات الاتصالات حجب العنوان البديل لموقع حبر والذي كنّا نعمل من خلاله طيلة العام الماضي 7iber.org. خلال هذا العام تطور حبر وكبر فريقنا، عملنا.

The Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ)  and the International Press Institute (IPI) have both revisited the issue of online press freedom in Jordan this week in two published articles. Last year, amendments to the press and publication law mandated that any website that publishes “news, investigations, articles, and comments related to Jordan’s internal or external affairs … is required to.

On July 2nd, the day after 7iber.com was blocked by Jordan’s Press and Publications Department, Fayez Shawabkeh, the department’s director, justified the move to AFP by saying that “7iber is registered at the trade and industry ministry as a news website and posts news and political analyses about Jordan, which means that the law applies to it”. (English Text follows below) اليوم، وبعد شهر من قيام الحكومة الأردنية بحجب أكثر من مئتي موقع إخباري أردني، تم إضافة حبر إلى قائمة المواقع المحجوبة بناءً على قانون المطبوعات والنشر المعدّل الذي أقره مجلس النواب في أيلول/سبتمبر ٢٠١٢ وصادق عليه الملك مباشرة. حجب حبر اليوم يأتي بعد ثماني وأربعين ساعة من مناظرة حول حجب المواقع.

تجربتي الأولى مع مقص الرقيب كانت في السنة الثانية من دراستي في الجامعة الأردنية، حيث كتبت لجريدة “صوت الطلبة” مقالاً ينتقد الإدارة لسماحها لشركة غولواز للسجائر بالترويج لمنتجاتها داخل مرافق الجامعة، وعندما وصلت النسخة النهائية من الجريدة إلى عميد شؤون الطلبة ليوافق عليها بحكم مركزه كرئيس التحرير، أمر بشطب هذا المقال لأنه “يسيء إلى صورة.
