Interviewed by John Lillywhite The following account is that of a Filipina house-maid in Amman who asked to be known as “Jodi.” The interview took place on 27th February 2010, four months after she ran away, in the living room of a mutual friend and university lecturer (the ‘professor’). Photography and words by Jeff Kaiser. Last night I decided to play photographer and talk a walk through Jabal Natheef just before sunset. I bought myself some sunflower seeds and wandered about as slowly as I possibly could from the top of the hill down. To many residents I surely looked completely lost – roving.

رصد: حبر قصتان. الأولى عن فتاة حاول أستاذها في الجامعة التحرش بها وعندما روت قصتها لزملائها، أوعز أحدهم السبب “لعدم ارتدائها الجلباب”. والثانية عن فتاه ترغب بشدة في أن تشتري ملابس ذات علامة تجارية مشهورة لتتفادى تهميشها من قبل أصدقائها. لسبب لا تعرفه، تذكرت مريم هاتان القصتان بعد أن حاولت مقارنة “حرية الزي” في أسبانيا.

Just after 1PM today PETA (People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals) activists stationed at the first circle and a large crowd that had gathered around were broken up by police for apparently not obtaining the proper security permits for the demonstration. The crowd of mostly men had gathered in the center of the circle.

رصد: حبر في حين انطفأت نار الإنتقادات اللاذعة في الصحف و وسائل الإعلام الأردنية على تفاصيل قانون الإنتخابات الجديد الذي أقر في نيسان 2010، يدور في ذهن المدونون الأردنيون إقتراحات، و تعليقات عن كيفية التعامل مع الأمر الواقع مع اقتراب أخر موعد لتسجيل المقترعين في الدوائر الإنتخابية. “حتى تنجح هيك حركه لازم يكون في زخم.

بقلم داود كتاب وفرت ثورة الاتصالات، بما أحدثته من تغيرات تكنولوجية، فرصة نادرة لكثير من الأردنيين لمتابعة فريقهم المفضل الذي يتنافس للحصول على كأس العالم. وللمرة الثانية في ثماني سنوات، حُرم مشجعو كرة القدم في الأردن، من متعة مشاهدة مباريات كأس العالم هذا العام على شاشات التلفزيون الأردني. قد تكون مشاهدة المباريات متوفرة للأردنيين، ولكن.

هناك قلة من الصحفيين المتقدمين لشكاوى تتعلق بعدم حصولهم على معلومات من المؤسسات المختلفة، استنادا لقانون حق الحصول على المعلومات.وأتفهم ذلك، رغم كسلهم فكثير ممن أتواصل معهم يشكون قلة المعلومات التي تتوفر لها من المؤسسات والوزارات المختلفة. في مجالي، أعاني من قلة المعلومات المتعلقة مثلا بأمانة عمان الكبرى، حيث أبدا مثلا بمرارة طلبنا في راديو البلد بالرد على خطاباتنا.
