مسؤول/ة أعمال

حبر، هي مجلة إلكترونية ومؤسسة إعلامية مقرها عمان، الأردن. ترغب في توظيف مسؤول أعمال ومشاريع للانضمام إلى فريقها في عمان، للمساعدة في تعزيز المرونة المالية للمؤسسة واستدامتها، لتمكينها من مواصلة إنتاج صحافة معمّقة عالية الجودة وتحليلات نقدية عن الأردن والمنطقة.

تأسست حبر في عام 2007 كمنصة تدوين نشأت من مجتمع التدوين الأردني النابض بالحياة آنذاك. في عام 2012، تحولت إلى مجلة رقمية احترافية، مع فريق صغير من المحررين والصحفيين ومنتجي الوسائط المتعددة. لدعم إنتاج الصحافة والعمليات الرئيسية، تعتمد حبر بشكل أساسي على التمويل من خلال المنح. كما تقدم ورش عمل وخدمات تدريبية في مهارات الإعلام والصحافة، وخدمات التحرير (البحث والترجمة والإنتاج). وتتمثل استراتيجية حبر للسنوات القادمة في تطوير وتنمية مصادر الدخل المستقل، واستكشاف فرص جديدة لتحقيق الاستدامة المالية. يأتي الإعلان عن هذه الوظيفة في سياق هذه الاستراتيجية.

جرى استحداث وظيفة مسؤول/ة الأعمال لتوجيه ومساعدة المؤسسة في توسيع دخلها وخدماتها المدرة للدخل. حتى هذه اللحظة، لم تنشط مجلة حبر بشكل فعال في الإعلان عن خدماتها التحريرية والتدريبية. من المتوقع أن يقوم مسؤول/ة الأعمال بتقييم جدوى خدمات حبر الحالية، وتوسيع نطاق وصولها. ومن المتوقع أيضًا أن يحدد ويطور أفكارًا جديدة مدرة للدخل، تتماشى مع القيم الأساسية لحبر. سيكون مسؤول/ة الأعمال نقطة الاتصال الرئيسية مع عملاء حبر، وسوف يشرف على تنفيذ هذه الأفكار من خلال العمل بشكل وثيق مع الأشخاص المعنيين من فريق حبر وشبكة من المهنيين المستقلين.

سيعمل المرشح المختار بشكل وثيق مع المحررة التنفيذية ومديرة البرامج، بالإضافة إلى أعضاء الفريق الآخرين، وفقًا لما تمليه احتياجات المشاريع المختلفة.

نحن نبحث عن شخص يؤمن بأهمية الإعلام المستقل ودوره في خلق المعرفة وتوثيق الشهادات ومحاسبة المسؤولين، وهو على استعداد لخوض التحدي المتمثل في خلق الاستدامة دون المساس باستقلالية التحرير.

المسؤوليات:

• البحث عن أفكار جديدة لحبر وتقييمها وتحديدها، لتحقيق إيرادات من خلال الأنشطة التي تتماشى مع العلامة التجارية للمؤسسة ونقاط قوتها، خارج نطاق التمويل المعتمد على المنح.
• تحويل هذه الأفكار إلى خدمات أو منتجات ملموسة بالتنسيق مع أعضاء الفريق ذوي الصلة، وتطوير العمليات لتنفيذها
• إجراء أبحاث السوق لتحديد فرص الشراكة بما يتماشى مع عمل وقيم حبر.
• العمل مع مصمم حبر ومسؤول التفاعل مع الجمهور لإنشاء مجموعة من خدمات حبر (التدريب الإعلامي والاستشارات، الخدمات التحريرية، البحوث، وغيرها)، وتصميم خطة تسويقية لها.
• التعاون مع أعضاء الفريق ذوي العلاقة لتخصيص الموارد اللازمة لتنفيذ الخدمات، وتحديد طرق تحسين العملية لضمان أفضل ما يمكن الوصول إليه فيما يتعلق بموارد حبر وشبكتها المستقلة واسعة النطاق.
• التواصل مع العملاء المحتملين، والمتابعة لتأسيس شراكات تجارية.
• متابعة تقديم الخدمات، وتشكيل نقطة الاتصال بين العملاء والمؤسسة.
• تحليل التكاليف التشغيلية وأسعار السوق، وتحديد أسعار الخدمات والمنتجات المختلفة التي طورتها حبر.
• تحديد المعالم والعمل على تحسين البنية التحتية للمساعدة في الاستدامة وتدفق الخدمات.
• تحديد مصادر التمويل المحتملة ودعوات تقديم العروض التي يمكن لحبر الاستجابة لها، والعمل مع المحررة التنفيذية ومنسقة البرامج لإكمال وتقديم مقترحات المشاريع.
• إنتاج تقارير شهرية وربع سنوية عن حالة الأهداف، المخرجات والشؤون المالية.
• الحفاظ على علاقات عمل وشركات إيجابية في محاولة لتوسيع قيم بقاء العميل.

المؤهلات:

• درجة البكالوريوس في الأعمال، أو الإدارة، أو الإعلام، أو إدارة وسائل الإعلام، أو أي مجال آخر ذي صلة.
• يفضل 5 – 7 سنوات من الخبرة التي توضح قدرتك على تحمل مسؤوليات هذه الوظيفة، لكننا نرحب أيضًا بالمرشحين الذين يمتلكون عددًا أقل من سنوات الخبرة، إذا طابقوا المؤهلات الأخرى.
• الاهتمام الواضح بصناعة الإعلام بشكل عام، وفهم المشهد الإعلامي الأردني والعربي ودور الإعلام المستقل فيه.
• فهم اتجاهات إنتاج المحتوى الرقمي وتحقيق الدخل منه.
• مهارات اتصال شفهية وكتابية قوية باللغتين العربية والإنجليزية.
• مهارات وخبرات ظاهرة في إدارة المشاريع.
• حس مبادرة قوي وقدرة واضحة على حل المشكلات بشكل خلاق وفعال.
• القدرة على العمل بشكل مستقل وضمن الفريق.
• مهارات بحثية قوية.
• القدرة على إعداد الميزانية، والإسقاط المالي.
• القدرة على التنقل بسلاسة بين العمل الاستراتيجي على المستوى الكلي في بعض الأحيان، والغوص في أحيان أخرى في مهام تشغيلية محددة.
• مهارات تواصل قوية.

Business Lead 

7iber, an online magazine and media organisation based in Amman, Jordan, is looking to hire a Business Lead to join its team in Amman, to help strengthen the organisation’s financial resilience and sustainability to enable it to continue producing high quality in-depth journalism and critical analysis on Jordan and the region.

7iber was established in 2007 as a blogging platform born out of Jordan’s then vibrant online blogging community. In 2012, it transformed into a professional online magazine with a small team of editors, journalists, and multimedia producers. To support its journalism and key operations, 7iber relies primarily on grant funding. It also offers workshops and training services in media and journalism skills and offers editorial services (research, translation, and production). 7iber’s strategy for the coming years is to develop and grow its sources of independent revenue, and explore new opportunities to achieve financial sustainability. It’s in the context of this strategy that this advertised position comes.

The Business Lead is a newly introduced position created to guide and assist the organization in expanding its income and its revenue-generating services. Up until this moment, 7iber has not actively publicized its editorial and training services. The Business Lead is expected to assess the viability of 7iber’s current services, and expand their reach. They’re also expected to identify and develop new revenue-generating ideas that are in line with 7iber’s core values. They’d be the main point of contact for 7iber’s client, and will oversee the implementation of these ideas by working closely with the relevant people from 7iber’s team and network of freelancers.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Executive Editor and the Programs Manager, as well as other team members as dictated by different project needs.

We are looking for someone who believes in the importance of independent media and its role in creating knowledge, bearing witness, and holding those in power accountable, and who is willing to take on the challenge of creating sustainability without compromising editorial independence.  

Responsibilities:

• Research, assess, and identify new ideas for 7iber to generate revenue through activities in line with the organisation’s brand and strengths, outside of grant funding.
• In coordination with relevant team members, transform these ideas into concrete services or products, and develop the processes to implement them.
• Conduct market research to identify partnership opportunities in line with 7iber’s work and values.
• Work with 7iber’s Designer and Audience Engagement Officer to create a portfolio of 7iber’s services (media training and consulting, editorial services, research, and others), and design a marketing plan for it.
• Collaborate with relevant team members to allocate resources needed for service implementation, and identify ways to optimize the process to ensure the best possible of 7iber’s resources and extensive freelance network. 
• Reach out to prospective clients, and follow through to establish business partnerships.
• Follow up on the delivery of services, and be the point of contact between clients and the organisation.
• Analyze operational costs and market rates, and set rates for different services and products developed by 7iber.
• Set up milestones and work towards the improvement of infrastructure to assist the sustainability and flow of services.
• Identify potential funding sources and calls for proposals that 7iber can respond to, and work with the Executive Editor and Programs Coordinator to complete and submit project proposals.

• Produce monthly and quarterly reports on the status of targets, deliverables, and finances.             
• Maintain positive business and partner relationships in the effort to extend customer lifetime values.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management, Media, Media Management, or another relevant field.
• The ideal candidate would have 5-7 years of experience, but we are open to candidates with less experience if they meet other qualifications..
• A demonstrated interest in the media industry in general, and an understanding of the Jordanian and Arab media landscape and the role of independent media within it.
• Understanding of trends in digital content production and monetization.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills in both Arabic and English.
• Demonstrated project management skills and experience.
• A strong sense of initiative and a demonstrated ability to solve problems creatively and effectively.
• An ability to work both independently and within a team.
• Strong research skills.
• Ability to conduct budgeting, and financial projection.
• Ability to move comfortably between big-picture strategic work at times, and zoom in at other times into specific operational tasks.
• Strong networking skills.
